On April 18th, ASME s new home at 2 Park Avenue was officially opened at a ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration that was attended by the Board of Governors, special guests and many staff members who have been with ASME for many years. At the ceremony, the ASME Board Room was renamed as The Esther and Richard Rosenberg Board Room, in honor of the Rosenbergs lifetime commitment to the engineering profession and dedication to ASME. Richard Rosenberg, who served as the 106th president of ASME from 1987 to 1988, attended the ribbon cutting with his wife, Esther. Neither of them knew the conference room was to be renamed in their honor. The Rosenbergs daughter, Dianne C. Rosenberg, M.D., had m ade the surprise gift through the ASME Foundations 2 Park Avenue Campaign, which allows participants to pay tribute to friends and family members, commemorate great contributions to the field, or simply give back to the profession while also making a significant gift to support ASMEs Foundation programs in K-12 STEM education, university student programming, and humanitarian engineering. Once decisions are made by the council, the manager implements them regardless of whether he or she agrees with the decision. Strong Mayor The strong mayor form of government is most often employed in larger US cities where the mayor must be a political player on the state and national level. Town Meeting In a town meeting form of government, all the towns citizens gather at least once a year to adopt city laws and policies. At this same meeting, ?a group citizens or an individual is selected to run city operations. This form of government is only for the smallest of cities. Representative Town Meeting A representative town meeting city government functions the same as the town meeting form of government except that the towns citizens elect a smaller subset of the population to participate in the meeting. Citizens who do not participate in the meeting may still attend.

I say that because you can use busy as an excuse for everything.You forgot your anniversary.Yeah, but you know how busy I am, right? Ill make it up to you.You havent called your mother in six months.Mom, Im sooo busy.You didnt go to the gym.Im too busy to work out.And the WORSTIm too busy to work on the stuff that makes me happy. But at some point, I told myself this How on earth can you be too busy to give someone thats important to you a call?
