Richard Rosenberg, who served as the 106th president of ASME from 1987 to 1988, attended the ribbon cutting with his wife, Esther. Neither of them knew the conference room was to be renamed in their honor. The Rosenbergs daughter, Dianne C. Rosenberg, M.D., had m ade the surprise gift through the ASME Foundations 2 Park Avenue Campaign, which allows participants to pay tribute to friends and family members, commemorate great contributions to the field, or simply give back to the profession while also making a significant gift to support ASMEs Foundation programs in K-12 STEM education, university student programming, and humanitarian engineering. When I lose motivation, I either come up with a list of things I want to do or set some new goals for myself. And then, I start working on it.When you create a plan, youre by definition looking at the future. And when we imagine a better future, we start feeling better.Just like step 1,the reason behind this strategy is the stimulation of happy chemicals like serotonin and dopamine.And even if you dont lack motivation, its good to look at your goals regularly. Keep reminding yourself of where youre going and more importantly, WHY youre going there.
